The Mercedes-Benz brand has a long and rich heritage in Malaysia, dating way back to the beginning of the 20th century. This heritage has grown even stronger with the incorporation of DaimlerChrysler Malaysia Sdn Bhd, now known as Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Daimler AG and Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad on 1st January 2003.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia's Apprentice Training Center (ATC) located at Glenmarie, Shah Alam, aims to develop a pool of well-trained, technically skilled mechanics in order to support the Mercedes-Benz network in Malaysia. It is equipped with state-of-the-art training aids and visual facilities. A new Automotive Mechatronic Course introduced in 2003 is a three-year apprenticeship program that emphasizes the "life long learning" concept that is central to the training methodology adopted at the center.

About 500 trainees have since graduated from the training centre while a talented few have won numerous automotive skills awards. In line with the company's commitment to guarantee customer satisfaction, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia now provides a Customer Care Center. This call center aims to improve the company's after-sales service as well as function as a hub to acknowledge and collate the needs of current and prospective customers of Mercedes-Benz and smart cars.

The centre provides road side assistance, attends to customers complaints as well as handles all general inquiries and operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every weekday. All customers can call the toll free number 1-800-88-1133.
